Some quick simple guidelines to help you better navigate the world of karaoke.
The do's and don'ts
Don't.
Things to not do.
Drop the Mic.
Mics are expensive. Speakers are even more expensive. You literally can ruin both instantly with this dickhead move.
Bribe your Host.
We don't do pay to play so don't ask. If you want to get up sooner, show up sooner, plain and simple.
Heckle.
If you heckle our singers you WILL be called out and dealt with appropriately.
Join the Singer/Take the Mic.
This is the number one no-no and biggest asshole move you can make at one of our shows. People sometimes wait up to an hour for their chance to sing, if you aren't invited by the person singing beforehand then DO NOT ruin their performance/time to have fun because you have no self-control. Also it's just plain rude.

Be Supportive!
Don't want to get on the mic yourself? Cheer on a friend or a complete stranger! A good crowd makes for a great show!
Tip Appropriately!
If you think we're doing a good job, tips are always accepted and appreciated. THERE IS NO COMPENSATION FOR A TIP. If you are expecting some sort of "bump" in the line, keep your money and refer to the above section on bribes. We don't use tip jars because it's just not worth the hassle.
Be Patient!
Sometimes shows can get a little crazy and have up to 30 singers in rotation. When this happens all we ask is please be patient and understanding, we promise we'll get to you!!!
Have Fun!
At the end of the day, we're all here for the same thing. Have some drinks, sing some songs, be silly, be a diva. THE POWER IS YOURS!

Practices I don't follow
Texting to sign up
Other people do it, I don't. I literally never check my phone while working, when you see me with a device in my hands it's to que up those fun videos you love so much, not because I'm checking texts.
Play "Original" Songs
As previously mentioned in updates, save it for an open-mic night. The whole point of karaoke is to be inclusive and sing songs people know and enjoy.
Requests.
I don't "play" music. Ever. You want to hear a song? Sing it. Don't wanna sing it? I'm not gonna play it :)
"Bumping" (Pay to Play)
As mentioned above, money is not going to "move you up" in the line. Tips are appreciated, bribes are frowned upon.

AGAIN, if you can't find ONE song to sing in my expanding library of 50,000 songs then go somewhere that will do that for you, also politely accept that your taste in music sucks.
